To empower young ladies 12-21 in the metro Detroit area. Providing education, support, mentorship by incorporating the Social Emotional Learning components to foster girls to be the best versions of themselves.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to create a space where young women can build relationships, be supported by empowering women, gain the knowledge and tools to persevere through life's challenges through social emotional learning and leading them into finding their purpose.

Meet The Founder

Licensed Masters Level Social Worker and Founder of I AM N.I.T.A (not in this alone), aspired to create an organization for young ladies to bond, learn, be empowered, and supported. For the girls who felt like they were alone. What started as a senior requirement, was ultimately her DREAM. She knew that she wanted to make a difference in the lives of youth. "There was a time when I felt unworthy and it broke me down, I wanted to surround myself with other girls who understood without judgment, but also have women to push and empower me, to show myself as well as others that we aren't in this alone". In life choices are made to mold you, not to define you, which took me a long time to understand. "I wanted girls to know that your feelings aren't always true, and that you may feel like you have no one, but there is someone that may be going through same or similar situations as you. I created this organization so that the next generations of girls could have access to the various opportunities, resources and a space that I did not have.

WHAT WE OFFER

Support

Here at I Am N.I.T.A, we are dedicated to all avenues of support. Providing support from licensed social workers, and licensed therapists to answer all questions, offer advice, and provide resources. We are always striving to improve the lives of youth, and invite you to reach out for services & support.

Education
